Trong khối các nước OECD, Hàn Quốc là quốc gia có tỷ lệ tự tử cao nhất. Tự tử là một vấn đề xã hội và y tế nghiêm trọng, có căn nguyên phức tạp, đa chiều. Dựa vào phân tích các bảng biểu thống kê về vấn đề tự tử cũng như ảnh hưởng của nó đến các vấn đề kinh tế xã hội, bài viết này làm rõ mối quan hệ giữa suy thoái kinh tế và vấn đề tự tử ở Hàn Quốc trong giai đoạn từ 1993 đến 2016, đặc biệt là ảnh hưởng của yếu tố giới tính, nghề nghiệp.
