A PROPOSED FRAME OF REFERENCE FOR RESEARCH OF SAME-DIFFERENCE IN CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION AND PRAGMATIC FAILURE IN INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION: REFERENCE OF IMPACT (COMMUNICATION) (ARTICLE 4)
Main Article Content
Abstract
Following article 3 that introduces the reference direction of ‘Impact’ (communication), presenting key types of communication model, reviewing and classifying different ICC and EC models/paradigms/grids, this article proposes a model of/for languages and cultures in interaction (LCI model). That is a transactional model with 10 groups of components, that fall into 3 categories (components of influence, components of impact and components of manifestation). The model combines the two reference directions of ‘Impact’ and ‘Manifestation’ and suggests ways for the reference direction of ‘Level’. The grid of impact components is to be presented in the next article.
